Uterine Cancer

Outline

This is the cancer that is generated on the uterus. Among organic cancers, it indicated the highest incidence next to gastric cancer. It is divided into cervical cancer and corpus carcinoma as to region. The twos are so different from each other in histological structure, symptoms, development, treatment and prognosis that those cannot be regarded as the same cancer. Ordinarily, uterine cancer means cervical cancer by reason it accounts for the majority of uterine cancer. Also, the progress of cervical cancer and corpus carcinoma should be determined in conformity with the clinical progress stipulated by International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) in 1961. Prognosis is remarkably influenced by the clinical progress classified at the time when medical treatment was performed, and also it is worsened in proportion to the stage.

- Blood Test: Eythrocyte, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, Leukocyte and Platelet

- Tumor Marker Test: TPA and CA125

- Other Examinations: Biopsy, Cytoscopy, CT Scan, Ultrasonography, and Palpation
